With a growing database of doctors since 2017, the profile of doctors we have are diverse across disciplines, specialities and age.
The idea of Medispot was born during a 6 month break taken before the start of a surgical career specialization. Since it’s genesis, we’ve built this business to provide fellow doctors with an alternative source of income to suit their various lifestyle or educational choices.
Aside from being qualified medical professionals, our doctors enjoy varied interests in different seasons of their life.
Here are some examples of our doctor profiles:
In building his own expertise in providing medical consultation to new emerging businesses, he picks up regular shifts to supplement his income while pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams.
Juggling a household and a toddler is time consuming. In between that, she picks up one shift a week to help supplement the family expenses.
Saving up for a round-the-world trip, he took a 6 month break from training to work with Medispot to amass as much savings as possible. This was so he can have better liquidity during his travels. After all, who wouldn’t want extra change for that dog-sledding experience once you’ve made it all the way to Iceland?
Working as a resident at the hospital, in between her shift work, she picks up half-day shifts on an ad-hoc basis to earn some extra cash…. to save up for a new car.
While studying for his Masters, he is picking up shifts once a week. To buy more textbooks? We hope not. But at least he’ll still be able to pick up the tab on date night.
She works 3 days a week to fund her passion for hiking or that long weekend off-the-grid in the diverse nature that is available throughout Western Australia.
If you are interested to join our database, do feel free to reach out to us. We will aim to help you find work to suit your season of life.
To ensure that we provide appropriate cover for our clients, we work with them to schedule induction sessions before each new doctor’s first shift.
Am I paid during the induction?
New doctors are paid for each induction session. We offer the following 2 types of induction sessions:
Stress Echoes
Dobutamine Echoes
If I have experience in stress testing procedure, why do I need an induction?
Each clinic partner that we work with has slightly different standards and procedures. In order to ensure consistency in procedures with each brand, we will only roster a doctor that has completed the appropriate induction sessions before their first shift
What are the time slots for the induction sessions?
This varies according to the supervising doctor’s schedule and each new doctor’s availability. We will work with each new doctor to find the earliest slot possible to schedule the induction sessions.
Do I need to prepare anything before the induction?
We will forward you a copy of the protocol from our clinic partners prior to the induction session. We encourage all new doctors to read the protocol thoroughly before each session.
